Working for a GREAT Direct Sales Company!

I got away from blogging for a little while but with some incredible motivation from Laurie Walter (owner and founder of Chartreuse) I am back and ready to start educating people again!

So first I will say that if you have any interest in green, all natural and organic living you should check out the products that Chartreuse has to offer on My Website AND if you have ever considered becoming a consultant for a direct sales company you should definitely consider Chartreuse! I have never seen a company that truly cares about their consultants the way Chartreuse does! I wanted to dedicate a whole blog to the wonderful things that this company has done for me.... Most direct sales companies are pretty cut and dry when it comes to "the rules" about goals that need to be met and things that need to be done to meet them and there is no second chance if they are not met that doesn't include more money from your pocket!!! I am so passionate about these products and am REALLY trying to make it work as a consultant but it has been tough! We have to get $300 in a rolling 3 month period to maintain a 25% commission (VERY REASONABLE) but with only a few dedicated customers that becomes tough!! A few times I have dropped to where I should be a preferred customer (which is a 10% commission rate) but they worked with me and really cared about the fact that I was trying and let me remain a regular consultant! It truly is amazing!

Chartreuse is small and when you email or call you only speak with 3 different people! They know who you are and what your calling about most of the time! I can't say enough great things about these woman who have ALWAYS answered my questions in the most timely manner! WHAT OTHER COMPANY emails you back the same day let alone within a few hours~?

I feel a little crazy right now but I just listened to an interview with Laurie and as if I didn't know how wonderful she is already I definitely do now! I am pumped! READY TO JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET And MAKE this work! I need to tell everyone I know about how AMAZING this company is and how great the products are! I use the products in my home and wouldn't dream of using anything in their place! I love the fact that I don't have to wonder what is in the products that might be harmful to my family! I LOVE that my son helps me clean because the base of the household cleaners in VINEGAR so even if her were to spill it or drink it he would not be harmed!

For every person that has a child, pet or loved one and especially those of you that take care of yourself why wouldn't you want the most natural chemical free products in your home for the relief of healthy living?????

I will end this entry by saying again how much I LOVE THIS COMPANY! I would stand behind it and the products 100% and would challenge anyone to find something wrong with them! Once you use the products you will be hooked for like! :)

TAKE CARE OF YOU!

Top 8 Reasons Why People Don’t Reach Their Goals

Top 10 Reasons Why People Don’t Reach Their Goals

1. Goals are not clearly defined.  Knowing exactly where you are going and how you are going to get there will help you achieve success!  In order to achieve your goals they must be clearly defined and written down.   Make sure you are as specific as possible!  Don’t write “eat healthier” write “replace my regular lunches with a salad.”

2. Lacking Focus. Posting your goals where you can see them every day helps you to focus on them. Read over them at least 3 times a day. By holding a vision in your mind as to what you want your life to be like will help motivate you to achieve your goals. It will help you prevent distractions and avoid time wasters like watching television.

3. Not conditioning your mind for success.  You need to start telling yourself “I can” instead of “I can’t”. Treat yourself kindly as you would your child or best friend and give yourself pep talks. Have an image in your mind of your completed goal and believe you can do it.

4. No follow through plan.  Imagine if you were an airline pilot and you didn’t have a clear goal each time you started your journey?  That’s how most people run their lives, only about 5% of Americans actually set goals.

5. Changing your mind too often.  While it is ok to realize you are on the wrong path and change plans, not finishing what you start won’t advance you in life. In the sense of a home business you need to stick it out until you know for a fact that it is not the right thing for you!

6. You never learned how to set goals.  Most schools don’t have a course in goal setting, which is unfortunate because many people could benefit from learning the proper way to set goals. It is a simple process and investing a little bit of time in it can change your future and help you to reach those important goals that you have set.

7. Setting goals you think you are capable of not what is possible.  Don’t under estimate yourself and your goals!  Too many people set goals that they think they can do but in reality you are being to harsh on yourself and your goals should be a lot higher!  If you want something and you know it is possible the sky is the limit!

8. Giving up too fast.  You will most likely face some hardships and obstacles along the way but if you are passionate about your goal than DON’T GIVE UP!  If you don’t sign one person on or sell a product to one person it doesn’t mean there are not plenty more people interested; you just have to find them!

In writing these articles and researching what people struggle with I have found some very interesting things that I will be applying to my own life and business.  My first goal is to clearly define my goals for the next 90 days by the time the weekend comes!  There I wrote it which is the first step!  I have a strong desire to educate people about the importance of healthy and safe products in the home!  I am an Independent Eco Consultant for a company named Chartreuse, when I say amazing products I am not kidding!!! See for yourself on My Website

No monthly ordering just great products when you need them! :)

Obsession with Super Why!

My son is up everyday between 5am - 5:30am and as a small secret, this is not my favorite time of the day!  I could adjust to being up at 6am, would prefer to sleep until 7 but I'm not going to push it! He doesn't watch a lot of television throughout the day so this time is the perfect time for him to be engaged in something other than me. He has gone through phases with what he wants to watch.  For a LONG time it was Curious George, which I loved the fact that he wanted to watch that because as a child I also loved this cute little monkey character.  In the long run it turns out that I would not be upset to never see Curious George again as we watched it EVERYDAY and I think it is safe to say that you can only take so much before wanting to ban television forever!!
His new obsession is Super Why, which is ok for now and at least a little educational so that is great! We have a glorious DVR where we have taped about 10 different Super Why's and on occasion he will watch different episodes but for the most part is is usually "The Tooth Fairy" episode.  I don't understand why he would want to watch the same exact episode over and over everyday???  If he gets the rare occasion where he gets to watch 2 episodes in a row he wants to repeat it! Like I said I do not mind this show but REALLY the same episode gets pretty obnoxious! I don't like knowing exactly what is going to happen throughout the whole show!
It is funny though because he watches with such amazement like he has never seen it before but then will start saying what the characters are saying with them.  He is cute and it makes it all worth it when he starts singing the alphabet song, not only when it comes on the show but in his play throughout the day!
I realize more and more everyday how much personality this little man has and count my blessings that I am able to stay home with him to see all of these quirky, silly, funny and sometimes annoying things!

Changing things up a little!

In my past posts I have written about working from home and I will continue to write about this topic from time to time, however I also want to write about my reason for working from home as well.  My 3 year old son has so much character and personality that it would be a shame if I didn't blog about the funny, quirky, silly and obnoxious (yes I said it!) things that he does!

So to start it off I want to let you all in on a little secret "fetish" that he has.... SOCKS!  The kid will not take his socks off and refuses to wear his sandals without them! I'm sure you are thinking what happens at the pool or the beach..... HE WEARS THEM!

Situation # 1: The Beach.....It took 5 adults to try and convince him that wearing his socks on the beach was not working!  After him kicking and screaming I was able to peel his wet and sandy socks off of him only for him to scream like I was killing him.... Unfortunately it is a little hilarious because he is so strong minded that if you go against what he wants he will literally freak out so it is hard not to laugh.  To continue the beach story, once I got them off we immediately bribed him with a snack, watermelon, and that held his attention for a few minutes but once he remembered he would start crying "I NEEEED MY SOOOCKS ON!"  One by one we told him that they would not go back on his feet until they dried in the sun...... It took 4 hours of saying this every 15 minutes for him to finally stop asking and give up.

Situation # 2:  The Pool..... I think we can all agree that swimming in a pool with socks on is silly and red socks at that?  We went to my friend's house for a nice swim in the pool on a HOT day a few weeks back and he really wanted to get in but I kept saying oh they don't allow socks in the pool and he would freak out and not go in! He WON this battle as it is just not worth fighting him on it and swam around with bright red socks on!  While he was having fun with his friend I tried taking them off thinking that he would not notice but MY GOD he did and freaked out.  Again, pick your battles right... socks back on while he was in the pool!

He wears socks ALL the time now that it is hot out.  In the winter he would not where them to bed so I would sneak in there when he fell asleep and put them on.  Now I have to sneak in there and take them off and the first thing he does when he wakes up is scream.... "I WANT MY SOCKS ON" pretty convinced most of the time he is still sleeping!

So that is the beginning of my blogging about quirky things my son does! Hope you all enjoyed it and can relate to the idea of the situation as well! I would LOVE to hear about something similar that your children does too so comment away!

Thought these items would be great to end this blog! :) ENJOY!

Top 3 Reasons People Fail at a Home Business

What are the reasons that a countless number of people fail at a home business? Why is it that you fail at a certain home business that you know other people are successful in? I’m sure there are other reasons other than the 5 that I have listed but I believe these reasons are why my own success was blocked!

“The size of your success is measured by the strength of your desire; the size of your dream; and how you handle disappointment along the way.” Robert Kiyosaki

Here are 3 reasons I feel that so many people fail no matter what work at home business opportunity they choose to promote.

1. GOALS: Goals are goals for a reason and if you don’t set them you never know what direction you are moving in!  They also allow you to see what you have accomplished once you reach your goals… but don’t forget to always set new goals once old ones are achieved!

2. PATIENCE:  You must have a good amount of patience for a home business to become successful.  There are no proven quick and easy ways to build a business in one day!  You have to work at it and with that work requires a lot of patience!  Also you cannot just assume it is not going to work and give up; you need to stay at it for a while and give it your all.  Jumping around from business to business is never a good thing.  If you have exhausted all of your family and friend resources who is left to join you in a meaningful opportunity?

3. ACTION:  You will never succeed unless you take action!  You have to know what is out there and use it to your full ability.

I'm sure there are more but once you set your mind to something you need to stick with it!  I jumped all over the place and now have found the company that I want to be involved with!  To view it please log onto My Website

Top 10 reasons to work at home with me!

Ten Great Reasons to Work from Home

Do you dream of working from home? Are you considering making that change and having the flexibility to spend more time doing the things you love? It's becoming more and more common as people explore options like telecommuting and starting their own home-based businesses. Here are the reasons I started building my business at home!

1—The rising cost of fuel!  This can be a huge expense, not only in dollars but also in your time and the wear and tear to your car!  To put into plain terms: assume you commute 30 minutes per day, that saves you eleven hours per month, or 132 hours per year not to mention the cost of gas and miles you would put onto your vehicle.

2—If you have a phone and a computer with internet access you have it all!  You can be almost as connected from your house as you can from any office. Also you have a portable office so if you want to get work done, say while your child is playing at a great play cafe you can bring your work with you!

3—Decreased clothing costs. You really can get away with one good outfit of your choice and a few separates since you’ll only be “dressing up” for meetings. The typical work from home outfit: sweats (shorts in summer) and a t-shirt. A week’s worth of work from home outfits at any good discount store: $60 USD. Some people profess to get professionally dressed just as if they were going to the office, but that just seems silly to me.

4—Increased productivity. There are no co-workers dropping by to gossip about dating, dieting or drinking dilemmas. Of course, you need to refrain from too much facebook, myspace, twitter etc but it is easier to ignore an email or a status update than it is to dodge an obnoxious co worker.  Another bonus is that there are no pointless meetings where you have to wait for late comers or for the presenter to prepare at the last minute! With online meetings, email and the phone, you may find you don’t need meetings at all.

5—Childcare is cheaper. Depending on the age of your children and the nature of your work, you may still need a babysitter, but probably not full-time.

6—Lunch is cheaper and healthier! Leftovers make great, easy lunches. You save money and even if you’re not a great cook, it’s usually better than fast food or snack machine offerings.

7—Tax Benefits.  You can write off many things from traveling expenses to everyday home bills like utilities, internet, phone, etc. Your Home Office is within your home, which allows you to have these Tax Benefits. You will want to make sure you consult with a Tax Expert for more details on how this works.

8—Chores can be done! During work breaks you can throw in a load of laundry, unload the dishwasher, water the garden. Of course, you have to avoid the impulse to clean and cook and wander around the house aimlessly, but usually after week one, you learn to separate work duties from home duties pretty easily.

9—Sodas or waters don’t cost an obscene amount. Your refrigerator never takes your money or gives you Mountain Dew when you wanted Water. Coffee is your special flavor and does not taste like mud.

10—FREEDOM!  In most cases you get to set your own hours and work when you want to work. You can work when you are most energetic, whether that’s 10 am or 10 pm. You can take off to run errands or go see your kid’s school play.

Of course there are disadvantages to working at home as well.  Some people are simply not motivated enough and just cannot do it. Some require much more socialization than working from home allows. Some people don’t have the space or equipment to create a work area in their homes. It all depends on the individual circumstances. But, if you long to work from home, explore your options. Small business ownership is great but not the only way to work from home anymore. You may even be able to create a work from home opportunity with your current job. Do your research and present a great plan to the powers that be and see what happens.

Perfect reason why you should work at home!

Vital Signs
Patterns: Long Hours May Add to Heart Trouble
By RONI CARYN RABIN
Published: April 4, 2011

When assessing a patient’s risk for heart disease, doctors take into account such factors as age, cholesterol and smoking status. A new study suggests an additional measure: long working hours.

People who worked 11 hours or more per day were far more likely to develop heart trouble over a 12-year period, compared with similar subjects who worked seven to eight hours a day, the new study found. It was published Monday in Annals of Internal Medicine.

In the early 1990s, British researchers examined 7,095 adults aged 39 to 62, including 2,109 women, and used the information to score each subject’s risk for coronary heart disease. About 10 percent reported long workdays.

Over 12.3 years of follow-up on average, 29 participants died of heart disease and 163 suffered nonfatal heart attacks.

Those who had reported working 10 or more hours a day were not at significantly greater risk than those who had worked less. But those subjects who had been working 11 or more hours a day were 66 percent more likely to have a heart attack or to die of one, the researchers found.

Mika Kivimaki, the paper’s lead author and a professor of social epidemiology at University College London, said it was not clear whether long working days were causing the increased risk or were simply a marker that could be used to predict risk.

But it is possible, he said, “the chronic experience of stress often associated with working long hours adversely affects metabolic processes,” or leads to depression and sleep problems.
